The Loire Valley is made for cycling. Quiet roads wind their way through the vineyards leading from one extraordinary chateau to the next. Ever present is the mighty river - France's longest - along the banks of which are ranged pretty villages and stunning towns such as Amboise and Saumur. The terrain is cycle friendly and oh so beautiful. This is a great first tour on a bike, and equally good for those with some cycling experience. The food, as ever, is enjoyable, to say nothing of the wine!
