The fabulous foods of Normandy

At this time of year, when we're stocking the kitchen with wine and cheese, it takes me back to some of our Normandy cycle routes, when it's great to get out in the French countryside and experience vineyards and cheese factories first hand.

Famous for its dairy products, butter, milk, cream and well-known cheeses Pont l’Eveque and Camembert, the region is also world famous for its apples. Apples with everything, cream with everything, cider and calvados (apple brandy). It's a good job you earn all these treats if you spend the day on your bike. Normandy is one of the regions which features in a few of our tours, the Normandy Heritage, Normandy and Brittany combined, Normandy Discovery, and D-Day and Normandy, all providing a good guide to the region from different perspectives.
