Menhirs galore

The menhirs of Carnac are lined up in their thousands in an amazing spectacle known as the 'alignements'. They cover several square miles and are truly a sight to behold. No-one is entirely sure of their purpose and why they should be concentrated in one place. But you are certain to be awe inspiured on seeing them. On a cycling holiday in Brittany you will see many traces of prehistory, but these are perhaps the most powerful images. You can see these amazing megaliths on our Atlantic Seaboard and Brittany Forests and Legends trips.
